Field Guides (2025)
Irezumi is a series of field guides exploring the history, anatomy, and
cultural stigmas surrounding traditional Japanese tattooing.
Each guide shifts in focus, allowing for experimentation with hierarchy and a range
of grid systems across the booklets. Yellow, blue, and green are used to distinguish
each guide to represent the aging of tattoo ink on skin over time.
